On October 3, 2026, tech YouTuber JerryRigEverything criticized Donald Trump over his recent announcement. The president claimed he would give all adult citizens $5,000 if Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections. This is something he had mentioned on previous occasions as well. On Trump’s official X account, he wrote:
“If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 2026 Midterm Elections, I’m going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America, $5,000! Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to signing those checks!”
YouTuber JerryRigEverything reacted to Trump’s recent claim. Stating that Trump “caters to the stupidest of the stupid,” he wrote:
“If you still believe this **** after not getting your DOGE check and Tariff refund checks – I’m sorry but you’re ***** **. This man caters to the stupidest of the stupid.”
This is not the first time Trump has made such a claim. At the Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas in September 2026, he said he would provide $5,000 if Republican candidates secured victory. According to PBS, doing so would cost about $1.2 trillion.
