Actor Dean Cain responds to students chanting pro-Palestinian slogans at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s rally.
On September 27, 2026, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, more commonly referred to as AOC, hosted a rally in Ithaca, New York. The event drew 2,000 people in the audience and was named “Students vs. Billionaires.” Prior to AOC taking the stage, two students spoke about several topics, including the Israel-Palestine conflict. Toward the end of their speech, one of them urged the audience to repeat, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” One of them said:
“Long live student resistance and long live the Student Intifada.”
The student on the right took the microphone and urged the audience to repeat after her. She sang:
“Just for one second, I’d like you guys to repeat after me. From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.”
A clip of the broadcast was posted by @MOSSADil on X. Smallville actor Dean Cain then responded to the post with one word that read:
“Idiots.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Opens Up About Palestinian Protesters
AOC spoke about Cornell University allegedly putting students ‘on track for deportation’ over their pro-Palestinian protests. She also brought up the recent controversy involving Cornell, where a student was allegedly drugged and assaulted by seven fraternity members in 2024. The lawsuit claims that the students accused of the assault were temporarily suspended and given the opportunity to “mitigate their conduct” by submitting essays. Cornell has denied that essay-writing was the students’ sole consequence, saying some were expelled or suspended, though it hasn’t specified how many. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said:
“There were several students that were suspended and one put on track for deportation by Cornell University for protesting the genocide in Palestine on campus. We have an institution that issues a suspension on track for deportation, because once you lose that good standing at a university, ICE can now pick you up. We do that for someone engaging in free speech and protest on campus, but we make rapists write an essay in private.”
