Discover how to open the Druid Sanctum in the Shadow-Cleansed Lands and reach the Sanctuary Tree in the BG3 Act 2 Expansion Mod.

The Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 2 Expansion mod extends the second act with the Chionthar Wilds, a region connecting the Shadow-Cursed Lands and Baldur’s Gate. With the Shadow Curse receding, the Chionthar Wilds have become a battleground of multiple forces competing for dominance, including the Absolute’s army, Fey creatures, and the Undead.
After battling through the Absolute War Camp, your party will come across the Shadow-Cleansed Lands area. Here, the path to a Druid Sanctum is blocked by enchanted vines. Venturing further north west to the Chionthar Woodlands area, you’ll encounter Of Thine Will, who issues a quest to claim the Druid Sanctum in the name of the Raven Queen and Shadar-Kai.
BG3 Act 2 Expansion Mod: The Druid Sanctum Quest Location

To start the Druid Sanctum quest, interact with the Living Vines in the Shadow-Cleansed Lands, at the location marked in the map image above. Succeeding on the Arcana, Nature, and Religion checks for the vines will reveal clues as to their nature, but doing so is not required to complete the quest.
How to Open the Vines to the Druid Sanctum

To part the vines and clear a path to the Druid Sanctum, you’ll have to find the Crown of Autumn in the Feybloom Hollow. The Feybloom Hollow’s entrance is located opposite the Druid Sanctum, across the tree bridge, as marked in the map image above.

Upon entering the Feybloom Hollow, beware of traps on the ground that will summon enemies if triggered. Ungroup the party and send a single character to the opposite end of the hollow, where you will find a pixie mushroom house. Pick up the Crown of Autumn from its roof. You can explore this area to find rare alchemical ingredients like a Unicorn Horn.

Return to the Druid Sanctum entrance with the Crown of Autumn and interact with the Living Vines to remove them. Enter the Druid Sanctum prepared for combat and mindful of traps.
Explore the Druid Sanctum

Fight through the plant and wisp enemies until you arrive at the runic stone circle leading to a vast cavern. You can take the optional route to the left and use the Fly spell to cross the chasm for additional loot such as the Firbolg Greataxe.

Proceed to the clearing ahead in group stealth mode to avoid getting ambushed by the guardians of the sanctum. Defeat the plants and head deeper into the sanctum for a boss fight with the Giant Rosethorn Vine, which rewards you with the Rosethorn Cloak. Interact with the Idol of Silvanus and Disrupt the Ritual to open up a path to the Sanctuary Tree.
Proceed Further into the Sanctum

Head through the large door on the left to reach the Sanctuary Tree. Here, you’ll meet Aluvian, a being of the Feywild who is mending the tree from the last of the Shadow Curse’s influence. Speaking with her completes the Druid Sanctum quest.

If you have spoken with Of Thine Will and accepted the Raven Queen’s Call quest, you can choose “I have come to claim this place in the name of the Raven Queen!” to defeat Aluvian and claim the Shadar-Kai’s reward.
