On September 6, 2026, Elon Musk reacted to a post on X claiming that an Amazon cargo plane had allegedly crashed and struck multiple Tesla Cybercabs. According to WPLG Local 10, an Amazon cargo jet went off a runway at Miami International Airport. Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz said that five people were killed in the crash, while five others were injured and hospitalized. Three of those injured were reportedly in critical condition.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reported that the jet struck several vehicles. As of this writing, it has not been confirmed whether the plane struck the Tesla Cybercab lot located near the crash site. On X, @zerohedge shared an article from their publication with a caption that states:
“Amazon-Branded Cargo Jet Overshoots Miami Runway, Plows Into Tesla Cybercab Lot.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the post with a one-word reply, stating:
