Wild deer has to be escorted out after invading Florida man’s bathroom and swimming pool

A deer broke into a man’s home, invading his bathroom and swimming pool, until deputies escorted it off the property.

Deputies of the St John’s County Sheriff’s Office were called to the house of a man in Florida. When they arrived, they found that the man had called the authorities after he found a deer in the bathroom.

Bodycam footage shows that when the deputies entered, the animal was stood by the toilet in “freeze mode.” They worked with the homeowner to escort it off the property.

They shepherded it out with a pool brush

The deer wasn’t acting aggressively, but they decided not to move it themselves. Instead, the deputies and the homeowner rearranged furniture to give it only one way out, before using a pool brush to shepherd it.

It slipped around on the floor as it made its way out the patio doors to the backyard, before promptly jumping straight into the swimming pool.

It swam across the pool, made its way up the pool steps and ran back down the side of the house. Deputies went after it, before it had a final dip in the pool and making its escape through a gap in the backyard fence.

The Sheriff’s Office saw the funny side, joking in their Facebook post that “the buck fled before deputies could issue a warning for trespassing”.
