Streamer Nurideen Shahid Shabazz, known online as DeenTheGreat, issued a stark warning to former four-division world champion Adrien Broner, saying the boxer could die if he does not stop drinking.
Broner’s livestream on August 14, 2026, took a turn after the former champion was reportedly rushed to the hospital following a night of heavy drinking.
Broner, DeenTheGreat, and Blueface had been running a marathon stream built around a simple deal. It was to stop drinking and start training. Broner relapsed just seven days in.
Later that day, in a separate stream on Kick, DeenTheGreat met with Blueface and gave an update.
He said Broner had already been discharged from the hospital. But he did not stop there, as he also stated that if Broner continues to drink, he could eventually lose his life:
“AB just left the hospital. I’m not gonna lie, if he keeps drinking he’s gonna die.”
Broner has been having issues with drinking for years. In a 2023 interview with DAZN Boxing, Broner shared that trying to quit drinking was the hardest thing for him while trying to rebuild his boxing career.
The latest incident arrives during what was meant to be another fresh start. In July 2026, Broner joined DeenTheGreat for a 45-day livestream marathon built around getting back into shape.
That comeback has already been a long time coming. BoxRec records show Broner has not fought professionally since June 2024, when he lost to Blair Cobbs by unanimous decision.
However, now that DeenTheGreat has shared that Broner has been discharged from the hospital, fans are hoping that the health scare serves as a wake-up call for the former champion to regain his discipline.

Broner’s reported hospitalization took another turn during the same Kick stream on August 14, 2026, when DeenTheGreat received a message claiming to be from the boxer’s doctor.
The message reportedly informed him that Broner had pancreatitis and needed morphine to manage the pain:
“His doctor just texted me and said, ‘AB has pancreatitis.’ And that’s why he needs morphine. It’s the only medication that can treat it. Alcohol’s gonna kill him if he does not stop in three years.”
After reading the message, the streamer looked shocked and sat in silence for the next few minutes.
