One of Frozen’s most popular characters, Olaf, is seemingly getting a love interest named Samantha in Frozen 3, according to a report from Variety, and the internet is blowing up at the prospect of the lovely snowman having a partner in crime. Popular streamer QTCinderella has chimed in on the news, claiming that assigning Samantha as a love interest for Olaf is “erasure”:
“This is erasure. We been knowing this clump of snow is gay. Be so for real.”
Several other users have expressed similar sentiments, with one saying:
“We wanted him to be gay”
Another user claimed that they thought Olaf was gay and had a crush on Kristoff, who is another popular character in the franchise:
“I thought love is a gay and he has crush on Kristoffer.”
One user wasn’t against the news, and felt that a love interest was a natural progression of Olaf’s story arc over the last two films in the series:
“Olaf spent two movies learning about love. The third gives him the practical exam.”
Finally, one user poked fun at series protagonist Elsa for lagging behind the snowman:
“I can’t believe Olaf got a girlfriend before Elsa. Truly justice is dead.”

Disney has dropped new details on Frozen 3. As per Variety, Anna and Kristoff will finally tie the knot, wrapping up the story arcs of the two characters that we’ve been with in the last two films. Furthermore, Frozen 3 will also introduce a new antagonist, but information on that is yet to be revealed.
Last but not least, Olaf is getting a love interest named Samantha. We don’t know if Samantha is a snowwoman herself, nor do we have any idea of what she looks like or who voices her. What we do know is that she neatly wraps up the snowman’s story arc of love, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the film when Frozen 3 releases in 2027.
