Skibidi Toilet is finally returning with Episode 80 on August 14, nearly a year after the viral YouTube series last continued its main story, but its comeback has already sparked backlash from fans.
The official Skibidi Toilet channel announced the episode by saying: “After nearly a year, Skibidi Toilet continues. This Friday, August 14, the SFM series is back with episode 80.”
However, the episode arrives amid an ongoing dispute surrounding original creator Alexey Gerasimov, better known as DaFuqBoom, and Invisible Narratives, the company that acquired his YouTube channel.
Gerasimov created and animated Skibidi Toilet before selling the channel to Invisible Narratives. In November 2025, the company told Dexerto that he remained heavily involved as an executive producer, overseeing the series’ creative direction and reviewing episodes.

However, Rolling Stone reported on August 7, 2026 that Gerasimov and Invisible Narratives are “not currently collaborating on new Skibidi Toilet content,” although their existing agreement remains in place and could allow them to work together again in the future.
This means Episode 80 is set to be the first main Skibidi Toilet episode released without Gerasimov actively working with Invisible Narratives on new content.

“Without Boom it’s not Skibidi Toilet,” one YouTube commenter wrote, while another said: “A series will never be alive without the author.”
“BRINGBOOMBACK LET BOOM SPEAK,” another added, referencing the #BringBoomBack movement that emerged in late 2025 amid concerns over Gerasimov’s relationship with the company.
Others pointed specifically to the change from Invisible Narratives’ previous statements about Gerasimov’s involvement, with one commenter reminding fans that the creator “was NOT involved in making Episode 80.”
Despite the controversy, Episode 80 will mark the first new numbered installment after an unusually long break for a series that was once largely produced by Gerasimov himself at a rapid pace.
The episode is scheduled to release on Friday, August 14.
