Cyno Build & Team Best Guide in Genshin Impact

Cyno is a playable Electro character in Genshin Impact. Since he got buffed in Version 6.7 to work around the Stellar-Conduct reaction, it’s only fair to build him to take full advantage of those new mechanics. The best build for Stellar-Conduct Cyno includes Staff of the Scarlet Sands as the best weapon choice alongside the Disenchantment in Deep Shadow set. In this guide, I’ll go over the best Stellar-Conduct build for Cyno in Genshin Impact, including F2P alternatives.

Cyno Stellar-Conduct Best Weapons

Staff of the Scarlet Sands

Stats

  • 542 Base ATK
  • 44.1% Crit Rate

R1 Effect

The equipping character gains 52% of their Elemental Mastery as bonus ATK. When an Elemental Skill hits opponents, the Dream of the Scarlet Sands effect will be gained for 10s: The equipping character will gain 28% of their Elemental Mastery as bonus ATK. Max 3 stacks.

Building Cyno with the Staff of the Scarlet Sands still provides him with the best stats to trigger the hardest-hitting Stellar-Conduct reactions in Genshin Impact. This is mainly because the 5-star Polearm grants Cyno a huge amount of ATK based on his Elemental Mastery, giving players more freedom in how they build him. Staff of the Scarlet Sands additionally gives Cyno a massive amount of Crit Rate.

To explain further, Cyno’s attacks scale with both ATK and Elemental Mastery. He needs both stats, especially Elemental Mastery, to amplify the Elemental reactions he triggers. This may leave some players torn between building Cyno with ATK and Elemental Mastery, and this is where Staff of the Scarlet Sands solves that issue by allowing players to stack as much Elemental Mastery on Cyno as possible while still giving him ATK through the weapon’s passive effect.

Primordial Jade Winged-Spear

Stats

  • 674 Base ATK
  • 22.1% CRIT Rate

R1 Effect

On hit, increases ATK by 3.2% for 6s. Max 7 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. On max stacks, DMG dealt is increased by 12%.

Primordial Jade Winged-Spear has a high Base ATK and Crit Rate substat. Additionally, Cyno gains a decent amount of ATK% and DMG through the 5-star Polearm’s passive effect. Primordial Jade Winged-Spear is good for Cyno since he can maximize its ATK% stacks in one rotation and gain access to the DMG amplification. Building Cyno with the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear should make it easier to continue building him with Elemental Mastery, but it is still not as perfect as Staff of the Scarlet Sands.

Song of the Vigil

Stats

  • 565 Base ATK
  • 110 Elemental Mastery

R5 Effect

Triggering an Elemental Reaction regenerates 8 Elemental Energy for the equipping character. This effect can trigger once every 9s. On the other hand, triggering a Stellar Glimmer reaction increases their ATK by 40% for 12s. The aforementioned effects can trigger even when the character is not on the field.

Cyno can still work with weapons like Staff of Homa and Skyward Spine, but Song of the Vigil is a solid F2P replacement for most of these weapons. Whenever Cyno triggers any Elemental reaction, the 4-star Polearm regenerates energy for him and increases his Stellar-Conduct DMG. This should be enough to improve Cyno’s rotations and DPS in general.

Artifact Set

Details

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow

2pc

ATK +18%

4pc

Increases Superconduct Reaction DMG by 80% and Stellar-Conduct Reaction DMG by 40%. When the wielder attacks opponents affected by Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct, this attack’s CRIT Rate is increased by 16%.

While the Gilded Dreams set is still good for Cyno, building a Cyno that can constantly trigger Stellar-Conduct requires a different option. For Stellar-Conduct Cyno, it’s better to go for the Disenchantment in Deep Shadow set to amplify every Stellar-Conduct reaction he triggers while increasing his ATK% and Crit Rate at the same time. This transforms Cyno into a strong Stellar-Conduct enabler, especially after you stack more Elemental Mastery into his build through his artifacts’ main stats and substats.

Cyno Stellar-Conduct Best Teams

Cyno + Odette + Ineffa + Columbina

Cyno is a strong main DPS who can drive his team’s elements while he’s on the field. To trigger Stellar-Conduct, Cyno needs a character in his team that can transform Superconduct into the Stellar-Conduct reaction. This is where Odette joins the team to enable the Stellar-Conduct reaction and amplify it. With Cyno and Odette, the team is ready to trigger Stellar-Conduct and deal a lot of DMG.

After teaming Cyno with Odette, you can continue building the team by adding strong buffers like Beidou, Yae Miko, Alyosha, and Qiqi in Genshin Impact. They would make this team strong enough to support Cyno in dealing greater Stellar-Conduct reactions during combat. However, you can take one more step by including Ineffa and Columbina, who are another pair that can deal great DMG through their Lunar-Charged reactions. This pairing surprisingly synergizes with Cyno’s gameplay and allows him to trigger both Lunar-Charged, amplified by Ineffa and Columbina, and Stellar-Conduct, amplified by Odette. For me, it’s a more diverse team that can deliver, rather than using a traditional team format.

Cyno + Cryo MC + Alyosha + Diona

You can build an F2P team for Cyno by replacing Odette with Cryo Traveler in Genshin Impact. They will also transform Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct and give Cyno enough buffs to deal higher DMG when he triggers it. Now that you created an F2P way to trigger Stellar-Conduct, you can add two more supports who can improve the team’s DPS. The best two to include with Cyno are Alyosha and Diona.

Alyosha provides an off-field Electro application that helps Cyno trigger more Stellar-Conduct, while also triggering the reaction himself. As for Diona, at C6, she amplifies the Stellar-Conduct reaction while also granting Cyno 200 Elemental Mastery while he’s within her Elemental Burst’s field.

Cyno Stellar-Conduct Best Constellations

In this part, I’ll go over every Cyno constellation and give each one a value. The value is based on the constellation’s effect and placement. Here’s what every value means:

Negligible

The constellation barely adds anything. Skip it.

Low

The constellation offers a slight improvement, but not enough to matter. Not recommended.

Medium

Not important on its own, but worth it as a stepping stone toward a better constellation.

High

Offers a notable improvement. Still not worth prioritizing as a milestone.

Priority

Greatly adds value. It’s worth prioritizing as a milestone if you’re building toward it.

C1 – Ordinance: Unceasing Vigil

Effect

After using Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness, Cyno’s Normal Attack SPD will be increased by 20% for 10s. If the Judication effect of his Ascension Talent Featherfall Judgment is triggered during Secret Rite: Chasmic Soulfarer, the duration of this increase will be refreshed. You must first unlock the Ascension Talent “Featherfall Judgment.”

Radiance: Stellar-Conduct: When Cyno enters the Pactsworn Pathclearer state, he will also gain the Together We Rise effect: Elemental Mastery is increased by 200. During this time, when switching characters from Cyno on the field, the incoming active character will take on the Together We Rise effect for the remaining duration.

Priority

C2 – Ceremony: Homecoming of Spirits

Effect

When Cyno’s Normal Attacks hit opponents, his Electro DMG Bonus will increase by 10% for 4s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.1s. Max 5 stacks.

Additionally, when characters affected by Together We Rise hit opponents with their Normal Attacks or Charged Attacks, their Stellar-Conduct DMG dealt is increased by 16%. This effect, which can trigger once every 0.1s, will remain active for the remaining duration of Together We Rise. Max 5 stacks.

High

C4 – Austerity: Forbidding Guard

Effect

When Cyno is in the Pactsworn Pathclearer state triggered by Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness, after he triggers an Electro-Charged, Lunar-Charged, Superconduct, Stellar-Conduct, Overloaded, Quicken, Aggravate, Hyperbloom, or Electro Swirl reaction, he will restore 3 Elemental Energy to all nearby party members (except himself). This effect can occur 5 times within one use of Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness.

When other characters affected by Together We Rise trigger the aforementioned reaction, they will also regenerate 20 Elemental Energy for Cyno. This effect can trigger once every 18s.

Value

Medium

C6 – Raiment: Just Scales

Effect

After using Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness or triggering the Judication effect of the Ascension Talent “Featherfall Judgment,” Cyno will gain 4 stacks of the “Day of the Jackal” effect. When he hits opponents with Normal Attacks, he will consume 1 stack of “Day of the Jackal” to fire off one Duststalker Bolt. If Cyno is affected by Together We Rise, he will fire one Duststalker Bolt – Starsame instead.

Day of the Jackal” lasts for 8s. Max 8 stacks for each instance of Pactsworn Pathclearer. It will be canceled once Pactsworn Pathclearer from Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness ends.

A maximum of 1 Duststalker Bolt or 1 Duststalker Bolt – Starsame can be unleashed this way every 0.4s.

You must first unlock the Ascension Talent “Featherfall Judgment.”
