Glorious Eras event overview
Glorious Eras is a four-week event in FC Mobile focusing on legendary eras from four clubs in sequence: Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Juventus. The event runs from November 20 to December 18, 2025, and uses a shared token-and-shard structure where you farm Glorious Eras Tokens from daily gameplay, then convert progress into Glorious Eras Shards to unlock event players in the Gallery. Completing all four club chapters grants a free 112 OVR player in addition to what you buy from the Liverpool gallery and later club galleries.
Currencies and progression basics
The event mainly revolves around two currencies: Glorious Eras Tokens (earned from matches and skill games) and Glorious Eras Shards (used in the Gallery to redeem players). Tokens are spent in the Reward Path where each reward node for the Liverpool section costs 300 Tokens and gives things like Rank Up Points, Gems, Coins, and finally a bundle of 60 Glorious Eras Shards at the end. Across all Liverpool Reward Path nodes you will spend around 2,400 Tokens and walk away with a mix of rank-up resources, currency, a retro kit and crest, and crucially the shards that fuel your Gallery picks.
Liverpool chapter: daily routine
The Liverpool chapter is the first of the four and sets the template for the other clubs. Each day you play a set of simple skill games, with a total cap of seven skill games per day, which completes roughly half of the Liverpool chapter progress. For the remaining half, you clear AI matches that unlock progressively; one more AI match opens after two days, and finishing them contributes Tokens plus a free Liverpool logo reward at the end of the chapter. By clearing your daily skill game cap and AI matches consistently through the week, you comfortably earn enough Tokens to finish the Liverpool Reward Path and start accumulating shards.
Gallery and shard economy (Liverpool)
Once you have shards from the Reward Path, you spend them in the Gallery, where Liverpool Glorious Eras players are priced by shard cost tiers: 1,000, 650, 500, 450, 300, and 200 shards. Higher-shard players usually sit at 115 or 114 OVR and are more complete meta cards, while 300–200-shard players are cheaper role-fillers or budget beasts for specific positions. The event is quite shard-hungry, so planning which tier you want to hit before spending anything is important; going for one 1,000-shard star vs. multiple mid-tier cards will shape your whole team-building path.
1,000-shard elite picks (115 OVR)
These are your premium Liverpool legends and should be your first consideration if you can realistically farm 1,000 shards during the event.
- John Arne Riise (LB, 115 OVR, 1,000 shards) – Extremely fast with around 140 Pace, strong Defending and Physical, and good Passing/Dribbling for an attacking fullback.
He is one of the fastest left-backs available and offers a balanced two-way profile, making him ideal if you lack a top-tier LB; overall rating from the breakdown is about 8.5/10 mainly because there are other premium left-backs, not due to weaknesses. - Xabi Alonso (CDM/CM, 115 OVR, 1,000 shards) – Decent Pace, mediocre Shooting, but absolutely elite 140-level Passing and strong Defending and Physical, with traits and work rates tailored to deep playmaking.
He is rated roughly 9.5/10 as a CM (deep-lying playmaker) and about 8.5/10 as a pure CDM, since his passing and positioning shine most when he can distribute rather than just destroy. - Jamie Carragher (CB, 115 OVR, 1,000 shards) – Solid Pace, top-tier 143 Defending, and decent Physical with low-high work rates that keep him back and focused on defending.
The main concerns are only moderate height and very high Aggression relative to Pace, but overall he is stable enough for an 8.5/10 rating as a central defender. - Steven Gerrard (CM, 115 OVR, 1,000 shards, non-signature) – Well-rounded with good Pace (around 122), strong Shooting, 127 Passing, and 125 Dribbling plus solid Defending and Physical.
With good work rates, traits, and height for a CM, this version is rated around 9/10 and works brilliantly as a box-to-box or advanced CM, though his Signature Edition is still the best version overall.
If your squad already has a strong spine but weak fullbacks, Riise makes more sense; if you are building around possession and link play, Xabi or Gerrard are the most logical 1,000-shard anchors.
650-shard high-value options (114 OVR)
The 650 tier gives you strong but slightly flawed cards that can still be main-team quality for many lineups.
- Jerzy Dudek (GK, 114 OVR, 650 shards) – Stat-wise very good but let down by height and lack of Long Thrower, making him strong in VS Attack but unreliable in Head-to-Head.
As the highest-rated GK in this batch he looks tempting, but practical testing and height concerns keep him at about 7/10 for serious H2H players. - Dirk Kuyt (CM, 114 OVR, 650 shards) – Very fast (around 131 Pace), with good Shooting, decent Passing, and strong Dribbling plus robust Defending and Physical for a CM.
High–High work rates, five-star stamina, and box-to-box suitability make him a 9/10 value pick if you want an energetic midfielder who can press and arrive late in the box, despite lacking standout traits.
Unless you are desperate for an overall boost in goal, Kuyt is usually a far better shard investment than Dudek for most squads.
500-shard mid-tier power picks (114 OVR)
These are slightly cheaper but still strong 114s that fit specific roles.
- Javier Mascherano (CDM, 114 OVR, 500 shards) – Good Pace at around 118, 126 Passing, 120 Dribbling, and an outstanding 132 Defending for a destroyer-style CDM, with weaker Physical being the main downside.
With medium–high work rates, nice stamina, and useful traits, he is rated about 8/10 as a lone CDM due to height and physicality, but around 9/10 in a double-CDM system where a stronger partner can cover his weaknesses. - Peter Crouch (ST, 114 OVR, 500 shards) – Only 116 Pace in the current meta, excellent 136 Shooting, mid-level Dribbling, strong Physical, but poor skills, weak foot, stamina, and overall clunkiness.
He is essentially a niche card for cross spammers or aerial-focused players; for general play, he sits around 5/10 due to movement and responsiveness issues.
For most players, Mascherano is the smarter pickup in this tier unless your entire attacking style revolves around crossing to a tall target man.
450-shard cheap but strong starters (113 OVR)
At 450 shards you get very usable players, particularly in defense.
- Andrew Robertson (LB, 113 OVR, 450 shards) – Good Pace, 132 Defending, and 132 Physical make him a rock-solid defensive left back, even without standout traits.
With medium–high work rates and low price, he is rated around 9.5/10 when you factor in price-to-performance; ideal if you want a reliable, cheap LB and cannot reach Riise. - Alexis Mac Allister (CM, 113 OVR, 450 shards) – Nice Pace and solid Passing and Dribbling but low Defending and fairly weak Physical, limiting him as a defensive or box-to-box CM.
Three-star weak foot and skills with poor work rates drag him down to about 8/10; best used as a more advanced passer rather than a true two-way midfielder.
For budget squads, Robertson is one of the top defensive value picks of the entire Liverpool gallery.
300-shard budget beasts (113–112 OVR)
This tier offers multiple role players that can carry lower-spend accounts.
- Harry Kewell (LW, 113 OVR, 300 shards) – Crazy 140 Pace plus good Dribbling and decent Shooting and Passing for a winger.
However, three-star weak foot on the wrong foot, poor stamina, skills, and lack of traits mean he’s rated about 7.5/10: fun in pure sprint scenarios but limited for serious ranked play. - “Ki” (CDM, 113 OVR, 300 shards) – Good Pace and Dribbling with strong Defending and Physical for a shorter CDM, but mediocre Passing and no traits.
Medium–high work rates and proven tackling make him 8/10 as a lone CDM due to height and 9/10 in a double-CDM where aerial issues are less exposed. - Milos Kerkez (LB, 112 OVR, 300 shards) – Excellent Pace, good Passing and Dribbling, solid Defending and Physical, plus five-star stamina and useful “Dive Into Tackle” trait.
High–Medium work rates and overall stats justify around 9/10, making him a superb low-cost LB or rotational option behind a premium left back. - Riyad Mahrez (RM, 112 OVR, 300 shards) – OK Pace and Shooting, very good Passing and Dribbling, weak stamina and Physical, but five-star skills and nice traits.
With decent height, nice work rates, and strong on-ball ability he rates about 9/10 as a cheap right-sided creator for players who like skill moves and cut-ins.
200-shard ultra-budget picks (112 OVR)
The 200-shard tier is for managers who want one last upgrade or are building ultra-budget squads.
- Bernardo Silva (CM/CAM, 112 OVR, 200 shards) – Decent Pace, poor Shooting, but excellent Passing and absolutely elite Dribbling, with weak Defending and Physical.
Four-star weak foot and skills, good stamina, high–high work rates, and Playmaker trait make him about 9/10 as a purely technical midfielder for dribbling and passing roles. - Schmeichel (GK, 112 OVR, 200 shards) – Middling stats, short for the position, and lacking Long Thrower, making him a 6/10 choice mainly for early teams or rating padding.
Whenever possible, prioritize Bernardo Silva over Schmeichel in this tier unless your goalkeeper is far behind the rest of your squad.
Zero-to-hero strategy: who to claim
If you are free-to-play or light-spend, a strong path is to first ensure you fully clear the Liverpool Reward Path for shards and resources, then decide whether you aim for one 1,000-shard star or stack multiple value picks. For most balanced teams, Xabi Alonso or Gerrard as your primary midfielder, plus one or two budget defenders like Robertson or Kerkez and a box-to-box engine like Kuyt, will give better overall improvement than chasing multiple attackers.
Aggressive or dribble-heavy players can mix in Mahrez or Bernardo Silva for wide creativity, while more defensive managers might prioritize Mascherano and an LB upgrade over flashier forwards like Crouch or Kewell. By following the daily routine, targeting shards, and picking players based on role and cost-efficiency rather than just OVR, you can turn the Glorious Eras Liverpool chapter into a massive upgrade for your FC Mobile squad.
